Membership Categories

Our Members aren’t all golf professionals, but they definitely represent the city’s professional sector. Detroit Golf Club offers several options for membership, from voting with full golf privileges to social memberships. There are also special classifications such as Corporate, Non-Resident and Junior. Membership is equity-based and by invitation only.

  • Class A Membership
    • A Class A member and such member's immediate family shall be entitled to all the privileges of the Club, subject to such rules, regulations and restrictions as the Board of Directors may, from time to time, fix or adopt. Class A membership is an equity membership, evidenced by a certificate of stock.

  • Junior Membership
    • Junior members and such member's immediate family shall be entitled to all the privileges of the Club, subject to such rules, regulations and restrictions as the Board of Directors may, from time to time, fix or adopt, but shall not have the right to vote, hold office, or have any voice in the government of the Club.

      Qualification: Age 21 - 35

  • Intermediate Membership
    • Intermediate members and such member's immediate family shall be entitled to all the privileges of the Club, subject to such rules, regulations and restrictions as the Board of Directors may, from time to time, fix or adopt, but shall not have the right to vote, hold office, or have any voice in the government of the Club.

      Qualification: Applicant shall be the son, daughter, niece or nephew, or grandchild of a person who is Class A or equivalent.

  • House Membership
    • House members and such member's immediate family shall be entitled to all of the social privileges of the Club, but not including the use of the golf courses, except under the rules and regulations that apply to guests or when playing as a member of an outside sponsored group which has been granted the use of the golf courses.

  • Non-Resident Membership
    • Non-resident members and such member's immediate family shall be entitled to all the privileges of the Club, subject to such rules, regulations and restrictions as the Board of Directors may, from time to time, fix or adopt, but shall not have the right to vote, hold office, or have any voice in the government of the Club.

  • Corporate Membership
    • Corporate members and such member's immediate family shall be entitled to all the privileges of the Club, subject to such rules, regulations and restrictions as the Board of Directors may, from time to time, fix or adopt, but shall not have the right to vote or hold office.
